Studio 111 Rental Agreement

Robert House Yoga, 111 King St., Hensall, Ontario N0M 1X0

rob@roberthouse.ca

This agreement covers every booking of the studio space or the practitioner room at Studio 111. By ticking the agreement box when you book, you accept these terms for that booking and for every later booking you make.

1Who can book

Bookings are open to practitioners and teachers who have applied and been approved by Robert House Yoga. Approval is for the named person only. You may not sublet, share, or transfer a booking, and you may not let anyone else run a class or see clients under your booking.

2The spaces

The studio space is booked by the hour or half day for classes, workshops and group sessions.

The practitioner room is booked in 4-hour blocks (9 am to 1 pm, 1 pm to 5 pm, 5 pm to 9 pm), 8-hour blocks, full days, or as a standing weekly day, for one-on-one work.

Furniture and equipment in the room at the start of your booking are included. Anything you bring in leaves with you.

3Access and times

Every studio booking includes 15 minutes before the booked start and 15 minutes after the booked end for setup and changeover. An 8:00 am class gives you the room from 7:45 am to 9:15 am. Practitioner room blocks end 15 minutes before the next block starts. A 9 am to 1 pm block gives you the room until 12:45 pm.

You get a personal door code once you are approved. It works only during your booked times. Do not share it. Tell us at once if you think someone else has it.

Be out of the room, with your things, by the end of your access time. Running over into the next renter's time is a breach of this agreement.

4Fees and payment

Rates are those shown on the booking page when you book. You pay in full at the time of booking for all the times you book, by credit card through Stripe. If you are not comfortable paying by card, email rob@roberthouse.ca and Robert will set up your bookings for you. You can then pay by cash or e-transfer before the first booking starts. Unpaid bookings may be released.

5Cancellations

Cancel or change a single booking at least 72 hours before it starts and there is no charge. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice, and no-shows, are charged in full. A late cancellation or no-show on a package booking uses that session. Studio 111 is in a small town, and a slot that opens up on short notice usually cannot be filled, so this window protects the booking for both sides.

A series is two or more dates booked at once. You can cancel the whole series at least 72 hours before its first date starts and receive a full refund. Once the first date has started, no date in the series can be cancelled, and the fees for the series are not refunded or credited. A date you miss is charged in full and does not carry over.

A standing weekly day is a monthly commitment. The monthly fee reserves your day in every week of the month. If you cancel or miss a day, with any amount of notice, the fee is not refunded, credited or reduced, and the day does not carry over to another month. To stop a membership, give 30 days written notice under section 9.

If Robert House Yoga has to cancel a booking, you receive a full refund or a rebooking, your choice. For a standing weekly day, the refund or credit covers the cancelled day.

6Use of the space

Use the room only for the purpose stated on your booking. Keep the noise at a level that does not disturb the other room or the neighbours. Incense is fine. No open flames beyond that, and no other kind of smoke.

Leave the room as you found it: props returned, floor clear, surfaces wiped, lights off, windows closed, door locked.

Report any damage or problem the same day to rob@roberthouse.ca.

7Your practice, your responsibility

You are an independent practitioner or teacher. You are not employed by, in partnership with, or represented by Robert House Yoga, and you may not suggest otherwise to your clients.

You must hold, and keep current, the certification, registration and professional liability insurance that your practice requires, and you must show proof when asked. Insurance must cover you for the work you do at Studio 111.

Your clients are yours. You are responsible for their screening, their safety, their records and their personal information. Robert House Yoga does not collect, hold or see your client records, and nothing in the booking system is a health record. Keep your own records in a system that meets Ontario privacy law.

8Liability

You use the space at your own risk. Robert House Yoga is not liable for injury to you or your clients, or for loss or damage to property, arising from your use of the space, except where caused by its own negligence.

You agree to cover Robert House Yoga for any claim, cost or loss that comes from your use of the space, your practice, or a breach of this agreement by you or your clients.

9Ending the arrangement

Either side can end this arrangement with 30 days written notice. Robert House Yoga may cancel approval and future bookings at once for a breach of this agreement, for unpaid fees, or for conduct that puts people, property or the studio's reputation at risk.

Unused package sessions and prepaid bookings that have not started are refunded, less any amounts owing. Membership fees already paid for a month in progress, and the fees for a series that has started, are not refunded.

10General

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario. It is the whole agreement between you and Robert House Yoga about the use of Studio 111. Changes are valid only in writing. If one clause is found unenforceable the rest still apply.
