Living with type 2 diabetes asks a great deal of a person. Not only in what you eat and how you move, but in how you carry stress and how well you rest. Medication does important work, yet it rarely reaches the daily patterns and the quiet nervous-system load that shape the condition over time.
Steady Ground is designed to meet exactly that territory. Over eight weeks we build a small, sustainable set of practices that research suggests may support blood sugar regulation, alongside a calmer, more grounded relationship with stress. It is offered as a complement to your medical care and never as a replacement for it.
You do not need any yoga experience. You do not need to be flexible, fit, or young. Every practice can be done seated, and we begin exactly where you are.
What the eight weeks cover
We move gently from settling the nervous system, into breath-linked movement that engages the muscles, into deep rest and restorative practice, and finally into building a short daily practice you can genuinely sustain on your own. Along the way there is a quiet thread of reflection, so the work reaches the patterns around food, sleep, and stress that medication cannot easily touch.
What is included
Eight live online sessions of seventy-five minutes, on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM Eastern.
One reunion session about a month after we finish, included in the price.
A take-home practice card each week, with audio recordings, so you are never practicing from memory.
A short intake so that your practices are appropriately adapted to you.
A personal maintenance plan by the end, built around your own life.
A small group, capped at ten, so that you receive real attention.
